New in 2013 -- Route Announcement!
The 2013 Tour de Queens will begin in a totally new location: Astoria Park! The tour, as usual, will be approximately 20 miles, and will visit the neighborhoods of Astoria, Long Island City, Ridgewood, Maspeth, Rego Park, Middle Village, Forest Hills, Corona and East Elmhurst. Our rest stop will be held in one of Queens' best kept secrets, Juniper Park!
New In 2013 -- New Cap Size and Fees on Tour!
The Tour de Queens is unique (well, except for the Tour de Brooklyn!) because it is supported by considerable NYPD assistance. The Tour de Queens operates as a rolling parade, meaning that the NYPD closes intersections long enough for the tour to roll through. In order to make sure that all those involved have the best experience possible, and to ensure the safety of everyone, the tour is limited to 1,250 participants this year. To make sure that T.A. can still afford to operate the tour, fees for 2013 will rise to $15 for T.A. members, and $20 for non-members. This is a considerable raise from previous years' fees, but it is still the best bike tour value in the city!
