Registration for the 2013 Tour de Queens will open on Tuesday June 4th, 2013. This year, we will cap participation at 1,250 registrants. T.A. members will be offered advanced registration, so the best way to guarantee yourself a spot on the tour this year, is to join T.A. today!
New in 2013 -- Route Announcement!
The 2013 Tour de Queens will begin in a totally new location, Astoria Park! The tour will be approximately 20 miles, and will visit the neighborhoods of Astoria, Long Island City, Ridgewood, Maspeth, Rego Park, Middle Village, Forest Hills, Corona and East Elmhurst. Our rest stop will take you to Juniper Park, one of Queens' best kept secrets!
New In 2013 -- New Cap Size and Fees on Tour!
The Tour de Queens is unique (well, except for the Tour de Brooklyn!) in that we are fortunate enough to receive considerable NYPD assistance. While we can’t shut down the streets, we do operate as a rolling parade, meaning that the NYPD closes street intersections long enough for the tour to roll through. In order to make sure that all those involved have the best experience possible, and to ensure the safety of everyone, we are limiting the tour to 1,250 participants this year. To make sure that we can still afford to operate the tour, fees for 2013 will rise to $15 for T.A. members, and $20 for non-members. We understand that this is a considerable increase from the previous year's fee, but we believe it is still the best bike tour value in the city!
